Do You Know?

Have you ever wondered, really wondered about yourself? Have you ever wondered that sometimes all it takes is one person, one event, one moment to change your life forever? It can change everything inside and around. Your perspectives, your thinking, and you are suddenly in a new place. That one single moment that forces you to re-evaluate everything you think you know.

Suddenly you have all these questions arising inside… ;
Who am I really?Do we ever really know ourselves? After all of the things you’ve ever seen or experienced in your life… do you really know thyself? You live with yourself, think, act, react but do you know yourself? Are you comfortable just by yourself?
Do you know what’s happened to you?   do you what happened and how it affected you internally? Can you feel it within you? we are supposed to feel … to grieve … to hurt… that’s the point, right? We are alive, we are going to feel so many things.
It does not mean you have to condone, appreciate, or even like what has happened… It just means that regardless of what happened that there is something bigger than you at work. It also means you know that you are okay.
What am I really scared of?  It drove me crazy because it got deeper and deeper and deeper each time I asked myself that. Mostly we think we will do great! then when our expectations are not met and we break. We break so hard at times… But sometimes, the unexpected is better… it changes our lives forever . After a long time, I realized most of us hang on to the things we are better off letting go. I know now that I was terrified of having absolutely nothing, of being alone. So, I chose to be halfway there… to hold on to something which was long gone.  Was I really so scared of letting go that I chose to be miserable?
To what degree have I actually controlled the course my life has taken?I tried so hard to control every bit of my life, each and every. Oh, such a rookie mistake! even when you think you are in control, you are not.
We all have our times, all have different problems. The truth is, bad things come out of nowhere without a warning. They come and hit you hard… sometimes we try our very best and it is just not good enough. But we often forget, just like the bad … the good things come along too.

And the question – Do I want to live like this?  that one, changed everything.

    It’s crazy you wrote this. I was recently pondering on what I thought was normal. Normal to each of us can be so different. Each of us think about ourselves and our needs and can become so offended by another person because “they” hurt us. I tried to think outside my own thoughts through someone else’s eyes. It is weird. But I can only be responsible for “me”. And I am learning to be the best me I can- and like who I am and who I will become.

    1. Yes indeed. After all it starts and ends within us.
      How we feel, react and think actually is the only thing we can control.
      And self awareness, is a blessing!
